Deborah Norville and I co-wrote "The Way We Are," a book about Inside Edition's first 25 years, and here's my claim to fame:

I was Donald Trump's ghost-writer!

Trump had appeared on the show more than 300 times, so he seemed like the perfect person to introduce our book. Of course he was too busy to do it himself, so I wrote the foreword under Trump's byline, and we sent it to his office for approval.

It ran just as I'd written it! Well, except for one thing - he took out a joke I made about his hair.

 

Three years after the book was published, Trump was elected President of the United States.

Funny, he never offered me a job as a speech writer.
